Kanab’s Small Town Independence Day Celebration

 

Join us for the best small town Independence Day celebration in the country! Celebrate Independence Day!

July 4th

6:00 AM Cannons Blast Off!

7:00AM Color Fun Run 5K

7:00AM Fireman Pancake Breakfast

10:00 AM Center Street Parade

11:00 AM – 7:00 PM Jacob Hamblin Park Vendor Fair and games

12:00 PM Larriette Lunch

8:00 PM Band

Dark – Fireworks

 

Even visitors feel at home and full of patriotism when they celebrate the 4th of July in Southern Utah!

Listen bright and early at 6:00 AM for the cannons as they Blast Off!, awakening the whole town for the days festivities.

Soon after, join in on a Color Fun Run 5K starting at the Kanab Center @ 7:00AM and a Pancake Breakfast.

 

10 AM join the town on Center Street for a parade starting at 200 S and 200 E

After the parade, find yourself at Jacob Hamblin Park for vendors, entertainment, and many more festivities throughout the day and into the evening.

Head over to the Kanab City Pool or the Kanab Center to cool down.

 

Catch live music at the Jacob Hamblin Park starting at 8pm.

Once the sun sets and the band is through playing, prepare yourself for one of the most unique firework shows you have ever seen! Fireworks shoot off overhead at Jacob Hamblin park, illuminating the red cliffs while sending echoes all throughout the town.

Parade Registration – Register before the 4th online –  Register Online

Day of register is at the corner of 100 E and 200 S at the lineup on July 4th at 9am. Late entries (after 9:30AM) will not be judged.

Please make yourself aware of Utah State Firework Laws and Kanab City Firework Laws before you celebrate with your own firework display. Thank you!

Fireworks are only allowed in designated areas within Kanab from July 2 – July 5 from 11am-11pm (they are allowed on July 4th until midnight).

Fireworks can be an exciting way to celebrate. Fireworks need to be treated with respect and care. With the drier than normal spring this year the area has experienced an increase in fire potential, all vegetation will easily ignite and spread fire rapidly!
