Celebrate Yesteryear – 1950’s Weekend with the Kane County Events Team!

Step back in time with us as we bring the charm and simplicity of the 1950’s to life for one unforgettable weekend!

June 19th-22nd – Stroll through downtown and discover local businesses displaying a 1950’s Weekend Flyer in their window. These shops, rich in history and community roots, are offering special surprises in honor of the weekend – maybe a discount, a free gift, a souvenir, or just a warm smile and a good old-fashioned story. You never know what you might find, but we promise you’ll enjoy the journey.

Weekend Highlights:

 

Wednesday, June 18th – Community Bingo Night 6pm-9pm

Join us at the Kanab Center for an evening of classic fun! Just $1 to enter for hours of community bingo. Don’t forget to swing by the farmers market beforehand!

 

Thursday, June 19th – 1950’s Drive-In Movie Night at the Kaneplex Arena – Ticket Gate opens at 8:30pm Movie Starts at 9pm

Pack the car and head out to the arena for a nostalgic movie night!

$1 per cart, or get FREE entry if you arrive in a vintage car or dress in 1950’s attire.

 

Friday, June 20th – Family Fun Day

Head to the Kanab Center for chalk art and hopscotch tournaments. Bring the whole family for some good, old-fashioned fun.

 

Saturday, June 21st – Sock Hop Dance and Diner Night

Close out the weekend with a 1950’s style sock hop – dance to the tunes of a real jukebox and enjoy a classic diner dinner an dice cream float at retro prices!
