Kanab – a charming western town, will be celebrating the 150th year since being founded on June 14, 1870. Kanab boasts the all-woman town council, the first in the country! Throughout the Sesquicentennial year, you can experience our history through tangible locations and events. Learn about the women that helped shaped this town, treasure hunting for the Montezuma Treasure, and movie making in Kanab’s “Little Hollywood”.

-Kanab Recipe Collection -A collection of local favorite recipes that have been passed down through many generations of Mormon Pioneer families and area Native American families.

-Jacob Hamblin Days – To end the week join us June 19 & 20 for a ranch rodeo in honor of local pioneer Jacob Hamblin at the Kaneplex 3 miles South of Kanab overlooking Jackson Flat Reservoir.
