Watch the Pros BBQ on Saturday, September 10 between 8:00am-2:00pm.

The People’s Choice award returns again this year. The public purchase their $5 food tickets and receive a free voting ticket. After they taste their fair share of samples, they submit their vote for their favorite bite. The team with the most voting tickets wins.

People’s Choice competition begins 2:15pm, Saturday, September 10, 2022 behind the Kanab Center.

This BBQ Cook-Off is a family friendly event, a judged cooking contest, and an experience for passionate barbeque enthusiasts of all ages.  Passionate and talented grilling teams will be coming from all over the West to Kanab to compete for $11,000 in prize money! Teams must prepare entries in the following categories: chicken, ribs, pork and brisket. Certified KCBS judges will evaluate barbeque in three different criteria: taste, appearance and texture.

KCBS Turkey Smoke Information

In order to participate in the KCBS Turkey Smoke Ancillary, each team MUST
be registered to compete in the master or backyard competition. Each team will receive a boneless turkey breast with skin, approximately 3-5
pounds each to compete with. Teams have a choice to use the turkey from
the National Turkey Federation or you can bring your own turkey breast. All
meats will be inspected on Friday. Teams will receive the turkey breast at the cook’s meeting on Friday. A rep
from the National Turkey Federation will be at the cook’s meeting to meet and
greet & answer any questions you have. If you are a KCBS member participating in the Turkey Smoke, pro & backyard
teams will earn Turkey Smoke ancillary team points.

Spaces are 20’x30′ All items MUST fit inside the 20’x30′ spot including hitches, bumpers, tents, seating, etc. If you will be outside the 20’x30′ spot, you will need to purchase an additional spots.
Inspection of cleanliness of booth area at end of event will be done and a $100 cleaning fee could be imposed. Keep your area clean!
Garbage must be picked up and in the dumpsters nightly.
Booth space is on concrete and will require weights to secure a tent. No stakes.
The competition will take place rain or shine, please come prepared.
Participants are responsible for their own equipment; canopies, tables, chairs, displays, extension cords, lighting, heat source, etc. Outlets may be several feet away from the site; cords need to be taped down in common walkways.
All participants are required to carry their own insurance.
Kane County Events, Kane County or Kanab City will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items, accidents, damage to equipment or personal injury.
